Based in Indiana, Carly has 17 years of interpreting experience across nearly every setting. She holds multiple degrees in interpreting, nursing, and is pursuing a graduate degree in Thanatology. Known for her compassionate work in medical and end-of-life settings. A creative spirit and mom who enjoys nature, naps, and writing a pop-up book with her kids.

Coralia started in social work and transitioned to interpreting in 2017. She’s currently working toward CDI certification and has experience in education, immigration, mental health, and political settings. Loves naps, cooking, and crafting with her twins.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

General Description

The President shall have general supervision and direction of the affairs of ICRID and other duties as prescribed by the board or the membership, and RID. Additionally, the President:

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Duties for the President include, but are not limited to:  
 

a. Appoints or disbands any committees, including special and/or ad hoc, composed of voting members in good standing.

b. Has co-signature responsibility with the Director of Finance on all financial accounts of corporate funds. 

c. Ensures any and all legal obligations are met unless responsibility is expressly delegated to another officer under the bylaws. 

d. Sets the agenda and presides over all board meetings, the annual conference business meeting(s), and any special meetings of the membership. 

e. Is accountable to the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) for the activities and reporting of ICRID. 

f. Shall do and perform other such duties as stated in the Policies and Procedures Manual.
