Fundraising
Dalonda Young and Dave Calvert have been busy with grant writing. We have received $500.00 from KYRID for the Region III conference. Lilly Foundation has sent us $7500.00 to split between the Annual Conference and Region III Conference. American Legion has donated $200.00 towards the Annual Conference. Dave Calvert and Dalonda Young are working with the American Legion, political contacts, and Kiwanis, to try and raise some more money. They are also looking into Lowes and Home Depot, both of which have community grants. To date, $30,000.00 worth of grant proposals have been written. There have been five rejection letters thus far.

Region III Conference has an $80,000.00 budget. Region III allocate $3000.00 for seed money. Any profits from this Region III Conference will be split: 60% going directly to ICRID, and 40% going back to Region III.
Dave Calvert has set up sponsorship levels for the Region III Conference. The categories are: Gold, Sliver, Bronze, and Fan Support.

Dave Calvert has contacted the Region III Presidents for a fundraising opportunity. If each state can find five foundations within their state, Dave Calvert and Dalonda Young will write the grant proposal. If the foundation(s) accept the proposal, the state chapters agree to donate 10% of any money raised to ICRID for the Region III Conference, and the remaining 90% will go to that state.

Satellites will be contacted and encouraged to find foundations in their areas as well.

Check the VIEWS ads for potential sponsors.
