Benefits of Sponsor Initiated Activities

How to Identify an RID Approved Workshop

To provide a reliable basis for participants to select continuing education activities that meet their personal learning objectives, all promotional media, outreach, and material for activities offering RID CEUs are required to have seven types of information:

  • RID CMP and the ACET Logos
  • Educational Objectives
  • A Refund and Cancellation Policy
  • Target Audience
  • Number of CEUs, Knowledge Level, and Content Area
  • Solicitation for Reasonable Accommodation Requests
  • Non-Discrimination Policy

Steps to Use Sponsor Initiated Activities

  • Make sure CEUs for the workshop are offered by an RID Sponsor (look for the CMP logo on the flyers)
  • Register for and attend the workshop
  • When you attend the workshop, make sure you have your RID member number, located on your membership card and in your membership profile.
  • Sign the Activity Report Form and record the activity number for your own documentation
  • Complete an Activity Evaluation Form

  • Monitor your transcript through your account login at www.rid.org
  • Activities can take up to 60 days to post to your account. If you do not see an activity post, please contact the activity coordinator or Approved RID Sponsor that processed that activity.
