Old Business

Satellite Report:
Fort Wayne met last week and aired concerns about lack of consistent information regarding the EIS, which was recently passed and is now in effect. It is not an ICRID concern, but Dave Calvert will draft a letter to Jim VanManen to request more communication around the state to alleviate the concerns.
A workshop in Ft. Wayne is tentatively planned for September 21,2002. We are working on writing the RSA/SLICES grant for this fiscal year.

Region III Conference

*President’s registration is paid for by the region funds, so Dave Calvert received a refund check for his registration. The Presidents are also receiving a room discount.
*Region III will also pay for the state NAD Presidents to attend…so far, IN, MI, and WI NAD Presidents are confirmed to attend.
* Dave Calvert has received the banner to advertise the 2004 Region III conference to be in Indianapolis.
* Dave Calvert and Margie Graham are working on a multi-media presentation for the 2002 conference to promote the 2004 conference.
* There are over 100 silent auction items so far. Many of the states will bring items with them to Novi. Carrie Westhoelter has purchased two big-ticket items for ICRID.
* Randy Nicolai will send checks with Dave Calvert to cover his hotel and per diem costs.
* Dave Calvert has the check from Region III to cover the costs from our Board Retreat in January. He will give to Randy Nicolai to deposit.

Motion:

Judy Cain made a motion that ICRID will fund the meals for the IAD President, consisting of per diem, luncheon, and banquet for the 2002 Region III Conference. Seconded by Dianne Riddick.
Rationale: 1. It will promote good relations between IAD and ICRID. 2. Region III provided the registration for the IAD president and ICRID is able to show additional support.
Called to vote. Passed unanimously.

The letters written to Indiana School Districts really need to go out to the schools this year.

ICRID Brochure needs to be done.

The videotape of last year’s conference still has not arrived. Dave Calvert tried to email Paul Kiel, who did the video, but it bounced back. Dave will get his mailing address from Randy Nicolai to send him a letter.

No New Business.

Meeting adjourned at 2:22pm.

Respectfully submitted by Antonette Needham
